Kayak Australia is still in its humble beginnings. Backed by a whole lot of passion, and a love of the outdoors. Our outdoors! And home is picturesque Jamieson in Victoria’s High Country.
Jamieson Caravan Park owner Tom Bennett was looking for new ways to explore the local Jamieson river and Lake Eildon with his family. Leisurely kayaking trips launched right from the park’s front lawn became a favourite adventure model. And eventually, Tom wanted his customers to be able to enjoy the river the same way. The precursor to Kayak Australia was a small fleet of kayaks for hire from the caravan park. As the popularity of the offering bloomed, so did the ideas. To offer affordable kayak rental on lakes and rivers around Australia!
Summer 2024/25 we are sticking close to home. With adventures from our doorstep here in Jamieson. Up and down the Jamieson and Goulburn Rivers, and on placid Lake Eildon. Next year, we will be bringing more locations and partners. And soon, your next adventure will be just around the corner!
