Lake Eildon adventure
Explore the shoreline of Lake Eildon in your own time with lake kayak rental. Launching from the Jamieson Boat Ramp, paddlers can choose their own adventure, and set their own time limit.
Explore the lake and find a quiet bit of shoreline for a picnic. Or keep an eye out for the various farmhouse footings that are usually hidden underwater. The Kayak Australia team is available for pickup flexibly throughout the afternoon. This placid lake adventure is perfect for beginners and families. Generally, paddlers spend 2-3hrs on the water.
Jamieson River - half day
Enjoy a half day adventure on the Jamieson River. An intermediate paddle from the bank of the Jamieson Caravan Park, to Lake Eildon and the Jamieson Brewery. Pick up provided from the brewery, or collection further into Lake Eildon from a specified boat ramp. Easy access, easy fun, and easy going. Estimated 45mins – 2hrs adventure time.
The Jamieson River is currently a Beginner – Intermediate adventure. Paddlers will need to navigate some swift moving water in Grade 1 rapids. This adventure is recommended for intermediate paddlers, or capable beginners.
Goulburn River adventures
Goulburn River - full day
Spring has sprung! And with bountiful spring rains, we are reopening our Goulburn River adventures from the end of November.
Launching from Tunnel Bend Campground on the upper Goulburn River, this full day adventure gives a real sense of the Victorian high country’s beauty, and pace. Lazy stretches of wide river offer changeable scenery and nature immersion. Some faster grade two rapids break up the ‘monotony’, and keep the blood pumping. Quilton North Picnic area is an optional sunny lunch spot. Or, avid paddlers can once again aim for the Jamieson Brewery and the ‘pot of gold’ (or raspberry ale) at the end of the rainbow! An estimated 3-6hrs of paddling awaits!
Goulburn River - half day
Spring has sprung! And with bountiful spring rains, we are reopening our Goulburn River adventures from the end of November.
With pick up and drop off included in this kayak hire, the Goulburn River adventure starts at Skipworth Campground. Taking paddlers between towering hills, and past quaint campsites. Gentle, grade one rapids separate long stretches of calm, meandering water. Pickup from the Island in the Jamieson township completes this 2-3.5hr paddle. This adventure is recommended for intermediate paddlers.
